By some artist, there is the Will to recreate the universe; one of Switzerland's own THE EVPATORIA REPORT exposes himself like a fresco of musical landscapes, each one offering different patterns and colors, but all bringing hope, veiled with mystery. Like their predecessors - MOGWAI, GODSPEED YOU! BLACK EMPEROR, MONO or even recently EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY - the (post-)rock of THE EVPATORIA REPORT is made of struggle and anguish. This is music where "experience" gives up to the adventure, the commitment, and most of all : the risk.

The sonic textures this band creates is mind blowing. I got into them after my friend gave me a burnt copy of their self-titled EP, which I still cannot find.
Anyway, if your a fan of Explosions in the sky or Mogwai, you need to give The Evpatoria Report a good listen.
While thedy don't have the ambient background noises and sound of Mogwai, or the more recent Explosions in the sky albums, the way they use their instruments is incredible. I'm hoping they do a US tour soon, I would love to see a live show.
