Yule Greeting Cards 2005 press release

Following an enthusiastic response last year, Strange Fortune is once again offering holiday greeting cards by our favorite artist Tor Lundvall.

Tor's magical visuals will be familiar to many of you from his distinctive album covers for his fine recordings as well as for Sol Invictus and others.

All 2004 greeting card sets sold out. The 2005 edition is a small limited edition once again, likely to sell out. This time we're featuring the Tor Lundvall paintings "Winter Sun," "Still," and "Outpost."

Just received the cards and as last year they are a real treat. Again they come to me as a paradox because greeting cards are for giving away to people you love but will you have the heart to give even just one of these? Treasures are rare those days and when you find 3 of them in 5 copies each you just cannot share. I still cannot explain today the impression of serenity I get when watching Tor Lundvall's art or when listening to his music. It's like someone is re-writing my childhood memories, magnifying the twisted moments and making them acceptable and beautiful. Tor paints and sonorizes the world as we would have liked it to be. In my humble opinion he is one of the most important artists of this beginning century, he is the essence of archeo-futurism without the hate and agression. He is hope and imagination, frozen beauty, time stopped and bittersweet happiness.
