Easily one of the Dots' most intriguing releases, The Legendary Pink Box takes a whole bunch of old, rare, and reworked material and gives it to you in a healthy two disc dose (and packaged in a bright pink CD box as well). Songs like Voices and Hauptbanhof are catchy and will get stuck in your head for days because of their carefree melodies and timeless lyrics. Curse-The Sequel is a beautiful keyboard ballad and is basically an instrumental version of the song Astrid off of The Tower. Premonition 13 is easily the angriest LPD song I've ever heard. Ka-Spel's voice and lyrics are gut wrenching and very heartfelt and the layered gothic keyboards are amazing. Of the two discs, I've found myself listening more to disc two but it all depends on what you like. Disc one has Premonition 13 and that alone will keep you coming back for more. The Legendary Pink Box is a wonderful way to explore some of the Dots' early and rare material without having to look too hard or pay a lot of money. If you are even slightly curious about the older LPD stuff, definitely get your hands on this. It's well worth the price.
